The facility, code named "Imperial", features around
30,000 square feets of total space, redundant UPS systems, generator
backup, VESPA detection systems, closed circuit monitoring of all areas
and entrances, card key access, 24 hours guard manned security, redundant
a/c systems, and fiber from best 6 seperate providers of USA.
Our datacenter connects to the Internet by
six GIG-E (1,024 Mbit each), one OC-3 (128 Mbit) and one DS-3 (64 Mbit).
This is the equialent of more than 3,000 T1 lines or 24,000 256K DSL
lines — In other words, great connectivity to all major networks
and lots of spare capacity!
Network hardware is constantly updated and upgraded to ensure the latest
in technology, security, and reliability. Among the hardware installed
in our data center facilities are: Cisco routers, Foundry, Extreme Networks,
and Cisco switches, CacheFlow caching appliances, and Alteon load-balancers.
We maintain direct partnerships with all network hardware vendors so
that we are regularly notified of new releases and updates.
Total incoming power
is 480V, 4000 Amps. This is a lot power and could also power an expansion
of over double current space size. The front door must be opened by
the security guard who is on duty 24/7/365. Movement throughout the
facility must be escorted at all times. There is no other entry door
into the facility with the exception of the loading door which is protected
by a roll down door and may only be operated with a security officer
present.
Monitoring of our operations is one the greatest features of all. Each
piece of hardware, from routers to servers, is monitored for up to 50
different points of failure. Monitoring is performed by our custom,
state-of-the-art systems, together with our 24/7, on-site, network operations
staff.
